Bruce Rothenberg serves as Senior Advisor at Janus Enterprise International LLC, with a focus on strategy execution, leadership development, and the healthcare sector.
Bruce is Chief Operating Officer at Haiti Originale, which was formed to help Haitians help themselves by supporting sustainable economic and social development. The Par Haiti Pour Haiti program promotes quality Haitian-made products around the world.
He has a breadth of business knowledge accruing from over twenty-five years experience in executive positions. He is an internationally known professional manager and speaker and has been the CEO or COO of fifteen US and UK companies and a member of the board of directors of more than two dozen others. He has lectured in Asia, Europe, and the United States on topics such as marketing research and strategies, American business culture, TQM, and strategic planning and forecasting. He has served as a professor of innovation and healthcare policy, small business incubator mentor and counselor to small business owners and is co-author of SuccessLines(TM), a series of business growth reports.
Bruce was a Visiting Professor at the Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, teaching Technology Launch Pad and leading the year-long Impact Project in Healthcare for the Executive MBA Program. Through 2006, Bruce served as Chairman and CEO of Closer Healthcare Inc. and its affiliated companies in Tequesta, Florida. Closer Healthcare is a medical supply distribution company specializing in diabetic testing products with customers in all fifty states and is the exclusive provider of supplies for the National Institutes of Health clinical trial participants. In 2006 Bruce stepped away from day-to-day duties but continued as Vice Chairman and in 2010, Closer Healthcare was sold to a leading medical supplies company.
Having worked with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance companies and managed care plans for over seventeen years, Bruce has a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and the issues surrounding it. He has extensive experience negotiating large scale supplier contracts and working in competitive bidding situations. In addition, he has a far ranging familiarity with the regulatory environment and has had extensive dealings with the HHS Office of Inspector General with regard to advisory opinions and multi-party contractual relationships. Bruce understands the issues surrounding healthcare and medical equipment from all four sides: beneficiaries, service providers, manufacturers, and payers.
